TEV Africa Foods (TAF) is part of a vertically integrated agribusiness focused on food value chains. From seed multiplication, irrigated agriculture to agro-processing and value addition, the company is engaged in the production of high quality, safe and nutritious food products.
The company owns and operates an agro-processing plant in Lilongwe, which carries out intermediary processing of groundnuts and common beans, as well as value addition of nut products.
TEV is licensed by the Seed Services Unit (SSU), which is under the Ministry of Agriculture in Malawi to multiply and commercialize seed of various food crops, notably beans, groundnuts, cassava, pigeon peas and maize. The company has executed formal technical agreements at global HQ level, with IITA, ICRISAT and CIAT for R&D backstopping, which allows it to access the latest research, technologies and best practices in seed breeding and multiplication, as well as agronomy generally.
Our core business focuses on the processing of groundnuts and beans, with an emphasis on value addition to locally grown crops. By sourcing from Malawian farmers, applying rigorous quality standards, and investing in modern processing techniques, we are able to deliver premium products for both the domestic and export markets.
200+ employees (majority women), led by seasoned agro-processing experts.
